More than a data connection
Traditional APIs return data. The MCP Server tells the LLM what that data means, when to use it and how to apply it. That difference shows up in every output.
Grounded in verified data
IBISWorld’s data is retrieved live at the moment of your prompt. No PDFs, no exports from last quarter. Just the latest analyst-updated figures.
Ready to combine with your data and other sources
The IBISWorld server sits alongside your data and other MCP-connected data sources. Your team can query IBISWorld data, internal data and third-party sources in a single session.
Outputs in the format you need
The server tells the LLM what IBISWorld is and how its content maps to specific workflows: credit memos, deal screens, audit planning.
Built for agentic workflows
The MCP Server is designed for more than just a chat interface. It feeds directly into your agentic workflows. Create credit memos that populate on origination, portfolio benchmarks that generate on a schedule or deal screens that run before anyone asks.

No engineering work. No data pipeline. No new credentials.

What is the IBISWorld MCP Server?
The IBISWorld MCP Server connects IBISWorld's research database directly to the LLM platforms your team already uses. Built on Model Context Protocol, an open standard for connecting LLM platforms to external data, it lets users ask questions in natural language and pull properly sourced IBISWorld insights straight into their workflow.
How is MCP different from IBISWorld's API?
API delivers raw, structured data exactly as it appears in IBISWorld, with no guidance on how an LLM should use it. MCP adds Tools and Resources that teach the LLM what IBISWorld is, what content applies to a given question, and how to shape a response around the decision at hand, whether that's a credit memo, call prep, or benchmarking analysis.
Which AI platforms work with IBISWorld's MCP Server?
The server is built on an AI-agnostic standard, so it connects once and works across platforms. It's currently compatible with Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot, with more tools coming soon.
How does the MCP Server keep IBISWorld's data accurate?
Every response is grounded in curated, human-verified IBISWorld content rather than the model's own assumptions. IBISWorld's proprietary taxonomies and methodologies are preserved exactly as published, so an LLM can't invent or relabel a risk score, classification, or metric.
